Doctors.net.uk is a peer-led Internet resource for the UK medical profession. It is available for all GMC registered doctors and UK medical students.

The site has 20,000+ documents, and has 50,000+ registered users, each with their own unique username/password, which also allows them mail access. There is also a Doctors.net Australia

Brief: With such a large project (there are over 200 databases), we can only serialise our tasks. The original site was created by IBM Global Services and was developed for AIX platform, with managed POP3 mail accounts.
